She was born in Bessmer, AL to Georgia and Edward Custard. She is a proud graduate of Abrams High School Class of 1982.

Her passion for service is rooted in a commitment to standing alongside the people of Bessemer and advocating for solutions that improve everyday life for families, seniors, youth, and neighborhoods across District 6.
